This place is like your grandmothers house. Not the Gen Y/Z "Nana" that lives in the suburbs on a golf course, but the grandmother that was raised a dirt poor farm girl and grew up during the Great Depression. The one that grew up killing the chicken in the front yard and pulling the feathers before cooking it for you and making everything from scratch. This place is like that. Chicken fried steak is awesome, biscuits and gravy were awesome...everything we had was awesome. They served our large table with ease and were the nicest people. Homemade jelly, pies, and cakes were a bonus.
What a great chicken fried steak! My kids and I shared this huge meal, crispy fried steak, tasty potatoes and gravy (on the side on request, perfect for me!) and than everyone chose a slice of pie. The Cake Lady stopped by to make sure everything was great and chat! Friendly and great tasting!
